THE LIVING LEGEND OF FLAMENCO DANCE
Farruquito is more than a dancer; he is a symbol of flamenco culture, an artist who has transcended generations and borders, keeping alive the legacy of his family and flamenco itself.
Juan Manuel Fernández Montoya, artistically known as Farruquito, is the ultimate expression of flamenco dance today. Son of singer Juan Fernández Flores "El Moreno" and dancer Rosario Montoya Manzano "La Farruca," and grandson of the legendary Farruco, he carries in his blood the purest essence of flamenco art. Since his debut on Broadway at the age of five alongside his grandfather, his career has been marked by strength, "duende," and authenticity.
Recognized as the heir to traditional flamenco dance, his style fuses the elegance of the classical school with a visceral energy that makes him a unique performer. Farruquito has elevated flamenco dance to legendary status, placing himself alongside immortal figures like Camarón de la Isla and Paco de Lucía, preserving the roots of flamenco and proudly bringing them to stages worldwide.
Throughout his career, he has created and starred in iconic shows such as Raíces flamencas, Alma vieja, Baile flamenco, and Improvisao. His latest productions, "Con-cierto" and "Recital de Baile", further solidify his status as an absolute master. Con-cierto is a production where live music becomes an extension of his body, creating a synergy between singing, guitar, and his footwork, while Recital de Baile is a return to the purest form of flamenco, capturing the essence of the tablaos and raw artistry.
