MANIFESTO

In these turbulent times of war, violence and despair, the search for peace and harmony are fundamental values to continue believing in human being and planet Earth.

Ecology and community are the core of this work that goes from darkness to light and from tradition to the avant-garde. In the end, peace, understanding and the victory of light over darkness reign, where the planet, animals, children are the main characters of the near future.

This project features the voices of women with strong implications for peace and the environment. It takes place in the city of Cordoba, where cultures, religions and different ethnicities have coexisted throughout history. This project is presented in an incomparable setting: the Mosque - Cathedral, nucleus of unions and energies.

Just like a gesture for peace, it rises in the sky FLOATING IN THE AIR, PEACE IN OUR HANDS. A four-movement symphony, which will be performed by different renowned international female artists.

We find among the guests Patti Smith, Bjork, the Lebanese living in Paris Yasmine Hamdan, the Christian Palestinian living in Israel and now in Córdoba, Miriam Toukan, Jamala, Eurovision winner for Ukraine, Sarah Lee Guthrie, Rosalía, Estrella Morente and the Israeli Shira Golan, among others.

The symphony has the involvement of the international association for Peace “Standing Together”. There will also be support from other prominent personalities such as Palomo Spain - in the creation of the costumes - and Marjane Satrapi. María de Medeiros will also participate as godmother.

The symphony, led by women and sung in different languages, is an oasis of harmony and dialogue.

The musical performance will be performed by the Córdoba Orchestra and conducted by Michael Thomas, accompanied by the children's choir from the Escolanía Cajasur. We will also have Raimundo Amador on flamenco guitar.

With the intention of sharing this message of peace and harmony, the concert will be broadcasted internationally and streaming for free through RTVE and RNE broadcast platforms.

The concert will be recorded live and will later be broadcasted through other media and platforms with the aim of raising funds for organizations that fight for the defense of human rights.

The symphony, created by musician and composer Fernando Vacas, is an initiative of the Artdecor Foundation with the support of the Thyssen TBA21 Foundation, produced by leplató and Eureka in collaboration with Standing Together.

A message of Peace from Córdoba.
